Where Every Morning Begins
Coffee is how I start every morning — and Sun & Coffee is that same ritual, just mine to share.
There’s a moment, somewhere between the alarm and the chaos, that belongs entirely to me. The kettle is on. The house is quiet — or at least pretending to be. And the first sip of coffee or tea is so good it almost makes me forget I have a 9am with forty people on it.
I’m Sun. Finance executive by day, painter and music lover by weekend, mom of two teenagers by permanent appointment. And I have strong opinions about what goes in my cup.
Sun & Coffee is where I write about the ritual that keeps me grounded — the sensory, unhurried fifteen minutes before the world starts asking things of me. The warmth of the mug. The smell that hits before the first sip. The way a good cup of Darjeeling or a well-pulled espresso can make you feel, just briefly, like you have everything figured out.
I write about coffee and tea, morning rituals, intentional living, and what it actually looks like to be ambitious and grounded at the same time. Sometimes I write about painting and music too — because creativity, a good playlist, and a quiet cup of tea have more in common than you’d think.
And if you want to see more of what makes this space — and me — you’re welcome to wander a little further. There’s my art gallery, where I paint the things that make me slow down: nature, color, the beautiful ordinary. And there’s mom’s recipes — Bengali kitchen stories passed down with love, the kind that smell like home before you’ve even started cooking.
Pull up a chair. You’re very welcome here.
